Red Truck Beer Ridin’ Shotgun

Despite the played out boring and vaguely gender-normed based labelling I picked up the Red Truck “Ridin’ Shotgun” Belgian Blonde. Mostly because I really craved a Belgian blonde, but also because… no wait it was the only belgian blonde available. If i sound broadly antagonistic towards this beer its because i’ve never been really impressed with red truck. I was utterly annoyed by their boasting of winning the TSN 1040 craft bowl at Roamers burger bar (what a ridiculous sentence). That aside i like this beer, its good, i’d buy it again. It starts smooth with and hint of sweetness that fills the mouth pleasantly. The carbonation helped to give it the large mouthfeel and also helps to make the beer finish crisply with a hint of spiciness.

Also very cool is the beer stats posted on the side here:

Many of which are often posted but its nice to see SRM, and aging time also listed. Its funny often find commercial brewers will give their beers weeks while home brewers give months… although in most cases i think the quality remains fine.

Red Truck Beer Ridin’ Shotgun- 3.5/5

expect posts from Portland, The U.K. and Germany in the coming weeks!

first off I like labels like this. Call me whatever you will haha. Second you are wrong about it being the only Belgian Blonde on the market. You just need to look as far as to find a Belgian Blonde and a Wet Hopped Belgian Blonde (if any is left). I am jealous of you finding writers abroad though as I have dreams of doing the same.

Labels , like all art, is subjective so no ill will there, just not my cup of tea! Yea i know its not the only belgian blonde avalible but it was the only one at the bottle shop. I love Dageraad and they are actually my closest brewery despite living in the tri-cities. Unfotunatley no international writers… fortunately i am visiting portlan, the UK and Germany over the next 3 weeks.
